Arizona Raised is an early work of mine and still a personal favorite. Inspired by Raising Arizona (1987), it features H.I. McDunnough, played by Nicolas Cage, within a stylized Arizona-shaped frame. The piece blends vintage aesthetics with playful imagery—prickly pears in hand, a nod to both the film’s desert setting and its offbeat humor. I love this movie on a personal level, as its themes of redemption, fatherhood, and absurdity hit close to home. The Coen Brothers’ signature charm and wild storytelling make it a film I return to often, and this artwork is a tribute to both their vision and my own connection to the story.
